About the Founder

Marge Bailey, known to truckers as the "Den Mom", founded and launched TruckerCupid.com personals network March 01, 2008 during a guest spot on SiriusXM radio. Marge had been an industry guest contributor to the FreeWheelin' show for over a year at the time and claims that if it were not for FreeWheelin', there would be no TruckerCupid.com.

Drivers had been pushing her to start a clean, monitored dating and team mate finder service that encouraged those who understand and accept a long haul trucker's lifestyle to join. That's exactly what she did. Today the members are 99% drivers, 1% retired industry workers, ex-spouses or had a serious relationship with an eighteen wheeler truck driver.
Beirut Bob, a charter member said, "It's about time someone offered a service that truckers could seek and find someone who 'gets' what we do."

Marge was a protestant minister's wife for 15 years, and she brought to this service her experience in couple counseling. Add this to her personal relationship life experiences, she has learned what works to find someone compatible. She shares with her membership, when asked or feels it's necessary, her sage advice to help anyone who has repeated bad luck with relationships and job choices. The driver's career is intertwined with their personal life and Marge is fortunate to be able to help her members with both their career choices and their personal life goals. Having been married to an owner operator for three years gives her the needed insight to a trucker's challenges due to his or her trucking lifestyle.

The service has had several successful matches which include marriages, lifetime commitments and/or compatible co-driver teams.

Marge also operates a trucking jobs network, www.DriverFinder.net (in service since 1997), which includes her personal job advice, coaching and in many cases counseling for new drivers. Having been a trucker herself and on the jobs side of the desk almost 15 years, Marge has become well known by drivers, mechanics and carriers a like as THE jobs' source to find their next job or employee. Over 60,000 drivers have found a job due to her web site network which includes www.LadyTruckDrivers.com, the first and still remains to this day the only stand-alone site for women to to find female friendly companies who encourage women to apply.

March of 2007 was also the launch of www.WomenInTrucking.org, of which Marge is a founding board member. WIT is the first official (and only) organization dedicated to uplifting women in our industry founded and headed up by Ellen Voie. Through this organization, Marge works hard to assist women (and men) to enter, remain in and adjust to the OTR trucker lifestyle.

Marge advises her members, "The #1 reason that defeats people in love, marriage and/or their career is who they see in the mirror. Work on fixing yourself first by changing what needs to be changed, finding spiritual peace and a desire to make someone else happy rather than seeking someone to make you happy and treating your job with ownership. I can think of no other formula that works better for finding happiness and remaining happy with your life! It is hard work but the payoff is worth it!"
