Does this site accept only people in the trucking
industry? No. But we do target the trucking industry, specifically truck
drivers, and we encourage singles outside of the trucking
industry to join only if they understand truck driving is
a lifestyle and are able to accept that a long haul trucker's work schedule is not
a 9 to 5, five or six day work week AND are not home from 2 to 6
weeks. To our knowledge, TruckerCupid.com is the ONLY service online that prescreens
people personally, one on one by telephone prior to membership activation.
This method is not a 100% guarantee that everyone on our service
is honest or a person who is in trucking or understands the
lifestyle but it does increase the chances by 100% that our
members are genuine and are here because they understand and
accept the long haul trucker's lifestyle and prefers to find someone who is now or was in the
past, in some defined way, a part of the trucking industry.
- Do you accept members under 18 years of age?
No! We do not! Any member who is discovered to
be under 18 is immediately deleted from the site until they become 18 and
show us
proof of age. We will also attempt to notify the parents of an
under age person who misrepresented them self to join this
singles service.
- How may profiles/memberships can one person enter?
- ONE! One profile per person.
- What does it mean when you say Abuse on the site?
We use the term 'Abuse' when members do not follow our
TOS. Members who misrepresent their
age, misrepresent that they are single and not living with a
spouse or love interest, join more than once under different
names and/or descriptions, hurt another member physically, share
gossip about other members to members or the general public,
defame this service with untruths, join to gain monetary benefit
of any kind, will be banned permanently and could be brought up
on charges if we believe it is necessary. We DO take Abuse of any kind,
seriously!
- How do I login?
Go to our homepage which is
www.TruckerCupid.com ,
look for the button that says LOGIN IN. Once on the login
page, enter your Cupid Member # and whatever password you have
given us to enter for you or the temporary password we gave you
and the main page of your control panel will open. In your
control panel you can do the following:
- Read messages from Marge, our Administrator (very first link
on page)
- Edit your profile
- Search members
- If a Paid (Premium) Member, read, reply to other members
- Scroll the page of the Winks you've sent (they are at the
bottom of the Winks page)
Anyone, free or paid, can send & receive Winks
- Upload your first photo or replace your current photo
- Purchase or renew your paid membership or
- Order a Window Cling using the premium paid membership
purchase form

- What is a Wink?
Winks can be sent to express your interest in another member. A
Wink is mostly used as an ice breaker. Winks may be sent by free
or paid members. It's a short, one sentence canned message that
includes the sender's hyperlinked member # so the recipient can
click the sender's member number to view their public profile.
If the recipient of the Wink chooses to return a Wink or send a
message, to the sender, they can do so. You will see in your
Winks section if your wink has been viewed or not or replied
with a Wink. If you winked at a paid member and you are not a
paid member, you will see their message in your Messages inbox,
but to reply with a message, a free member must be become a paid
Premium Member.
- Are there limitations I can Write in a Message?
Premium Members are the only members who can send a message and
it can only be sent using your membership control panel. Your
email address is never revealed by our system. A message is just
like email and you can write anything you want, except
pornographic words, cursing, offers of sex for money, porn site
addresses, cam girl web site(s), selling a product or service or
defamatory content such as threats to do bodily harm, stalking,
sexually explicit over or under tones. You may give the member(s)
of your interest your cell # (never give your home #!!) and/or
email address also. Keep in mind that we do pre-screen people
and do not allow membership unless we are satisfied by talking
with those requesting a membership on the phone that they pass our scrutiny for
membership approval, however we cannot guarantee people we give a
permission to join the service a 100% assurance that what they
claim to be, they are. With that in mind do not blindly trust
anyone with your home # or physical address until you are
totally satisfied they are genuine and not a predator. Also keep
in mind that if you receive Spam at any time it was not caused
by this service, therefore keep up with whom and which sites you
have either publicly posted your email address or which members
of any service, including this one, you gave your email address
to.
- Does a Premium Membership Automatically Debited every
Month from my Card?
NO!
30 days is the shortest term available. You can elect, on the
form, to save your
information if you wish and you can return as many 30 day
periods consecutively or whenever and how often you wish to
return to be a paid member. We do offer pre-paid 60 and 90 day membership and it is up to each Premium Member to select which
of the 3 term periods they desire. Most long haul drivers will need more than 1
month as they are not able to get online very often to check to
see if they have members interested in a contact from them,
however more than 30 days is not required. Couple that with the
fact that men in trucking out number women 10,000 to 1, yes, it
may take some time to find your soul mate or co-driver.
- Can I pay by check or money order?
No.
We accept only online payment by major credit card. There is no
refund of membership fees for any reason unless we decide to hut
down the service and in that case, then paid members will be
reimbursed for any time they have not used of their paid term. Your membership starts from the
time you pay the fee and filled out the membership form until midnight
of the 30th, 60th or 90th day.
If you wish to pay for longer terms you may but
remember there is no refund and if you find someone during a
longer term period or any term period, we will not refund any
left over time of your
money you may have at the time. Also you can delete your profile yourself in your member
control panel and you must call or email us , if needed, for
reactivation at a later time.
- How will I know when my Paid [Premium] Membership has
Expired?
An authorized staff member will contact you within 24 to 48
hours, by phone call, to report that your Paid membership has
expired. You will remain as a FREE member in the meantime and
your profile will be in tact on the public website whether or
not you renew your paid membership until you elect to delete it
via your membership control panel.
- Can Anyone Acquire My Member# or Password?
No! Our service is as secure as technology allows. If you choose
to give out your login info, then of course someone can. We
recommend that you do not reveal to anyone else your login
codes. If you need to, you can login and change your password at
any time as many times as you wish.
- What Credit Cards do you Accept?
MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. If you use a
Pre-paid credit card or an ATM card that does not have a
physical address, our merchant card security will deny the
transaction. Also it may take up to 48 hours for the
transaction, if accepted by the merchant card system, to turn on
your Premium membership. It has been our experience with
Pre-paid and ATM cards with P O Box addresses MAY be denied by Authorize.net, online merchant card system
as these cards may not reflect your first & last name in our
membership files.. NOTICE: The merchant name on your credit card statement
will be DriverFinder Net, our parent company.
- What if My Phone # or Email Address Changes?
Your phone # & email address is for Administrator only
files. We DO NOT, at ANY time, publish or give
out to ANYONE your phone
number or email address public nor do we sell your phone # and email address to
ANYONE, business or otherwise! Calling our members is the
primary method we use to contact you for membership approval and
any other matter concerning you or our service. We contact you
by phone call because most of our members do not add our email
address to their address book and even if members do so, AOL,
MSN, Comcast, Yahoo & Hotmail, to name a few, block dating site
STMP addresses. Therefore, members' phone # is the preferred
form of contact.
Should your
phone number ever change, you MUST update that change in your
membership control panel. IF YOU ENTER YOUR PHONE # IN ERROR, we
will not be able to contact you by phone and will email you if
an email is given and is corect. check your bulk and spam folder
for it as you will not yet be able to add our email address to
your address book. Once you are a member, click on
Edit my
profile link to edit your phone number and/or email address
if either or both ever change.
- What if I entered my Phone # incorrectly, is My
Membership Deleted Permanently?
IF
WE CANNOT CALL YOU AS A MEMBER, YOUR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE SUSPENDED UNTIL WE
CAN REACH YOU or YOU CALL US WITH THE CORRECT PHONE #!
Common sense dictates to never, ever give out personal
information to anyone you just met online AND NEITHER WILL WE
EVER DO SO ON YOUR BEHALF!
- Please explain what it means when a member is
Suspended.
Suspension simply means that a member's
account is no longer published but is still in our database,
completely in tact. It will be restored to a published profile
once we hear from the member and whatever reason we suspended
their account is resolved. If a member does not contact us
within 30 days of the suspension date, it may mean their
membership gets cancelled, even if they are a premium member and
once we cancel a member's account for not contacting us, a
cancelled member will need to request membership and if the
problem is resolved, all info and photo be entered again.
- Is the paid membership fee extended or refunded if my
account has been cancelled for any reason?
There is no refund for time lost while under
Admin suspension or cancellation or if you deleted your account yourself
under a paid membership and you still had time left on the paid
term.
- Why do I sometimes click to a member's profile page
and nothing is there other than maybe their photo?
This is stated for you near the top of every public member
profile page. It is also repeated below:
If
You Click on a Profile that has NO
Information, the Member is Inactive for
Now & May Return at a Later Date, Check Back Often
OR
The Member has NOT completed their
Profile since receiving their personal 1
on 1 phone call Approval from Admin

- How long do I have to get a face/shoulders photo on my profile after I am accepted for membership?
Seven up to 14 days. If you do not post a photo that adheres to
our terms of service in
that period of time, then your membership will be suspended
until you CALL us to reactivate your membership when you do
have one to post. If you encounter computer issues with doing this, call Marge or
Dawn and we will help you. Call Marge at 989.892.8433 or
Dawn (M-Thus nights & Saturday) at 763-444-6014 within the
14 day
period. Please try everything you can before calling for help.
And no, we do not accept snail mail photos as scanned photos
usually do not look that good and with our membership growing so
large, if we open up for that, well, I think you get my drift.
- What file name do photos have to be?
All photos have be in the
.JPG
format otherwise it will not load & be published. So check that
first before trying to upload a photo. Also avoid naming your
photo with underscores, dots or anything other than one string
of text letters.
- How do I convert a photo not in .jpg into .jpg?
Many of you probably already know but for those of you who don't
know I will try my best to keep it simple:

- Does this FAQ page change often with new information?
Probably. As we face new challenges of security we may need to
add new rules to this FAQ page and our
TOS.
Also as we add new
features you will be sent a notice in your membership control
panel form Admin alerting you of the features there and here.
You should always refresh this page when returning to it to see
new additions.
- Does the size of my photo affect the thumbnail photos
on the
homepage image
scoll?
Yes! If your photo is too large, in some cases if your face is
too close to the camera or you are too far away from the camera,
too small in size (example c), or the lighting is poor and it is
too dark then the results would be as shown below. If a man is
wearing no shirt is also a reason. In most cases
we will not publish it in the image scroll as there is really no
point in doing so or if the photo breaks any of the standards
posted on our TOS. Keep in mind also that
none of us have a 2nd chance to make a 1st
impression. Don't shoot yourself in the foot by publishing a
terrible photo but if you do, we will not display it in the
image scroll and make your 1st impression even worse for you.
- What are some examples of a bad photo?
a) Too close to the camera as demonstrated by the kitty photo
below: NOT Good!

b) Too far away, also, when sized down for the
image scroll this causes the face to be non-descript:

& it's too dark for recognition:

d) Sunglasses tend to hide your individuality: The guy below
possibly looks like 100's of other guys:

- If a man wears no shirt is that considered nudity by
TruckerCupid.com's standards?
Yes! Nudity is nudity!! We will be suspending male member
accounts who are wearing no shirt soon or may already have done
so by the time you read this until a member wearing no shirt has
replaced his photo with one in which he fully clothed.
- Do I need to view the homepage often?
We do add items of interest & announcement buttons or text to the homepage often that may not
be posted anywhere else. Again, refresh the page to see new
additions. Also the homepage is where we add the newest members
thumbnail photos.
- Should I report to Admin any member I know is not
abiding by TruckerCupid's
TOS?
Yes! Even if it is hearsay. Give us that member's Cupid # along
with specific details and we will investigate. If we agree with
you the reported member is in direct violation of our Terms of
Service, we will permanently delete their membership. If the
violation is criminal, we may report that person to the
authorities for investigation which could lead to prosecution by
law. We take violators of our Terms of Service (TOS) totallly
serious!
